Fans of the theater can now enjoy art and culture with all their senses with a matching evening menu at Restaurant Schönemann. Executive Chef Miguel Wagner offers theater lovers an enjoyable start to their visit to the opera or theater with his new pre-theater menu at the Sofitel Frankfurt Opera’s in-house restaurant.

Right in the heart of the city, within walking distance of Frankfurt’s theaters, guests can get in the mood for their cultural evening in style at the Schönemann restaurant. Between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., in keeping with the season, the Schönemann offers a preset menu that changes weekly at a price of €39.00 per person.

“The pre-theatre menu combines classics of French cuisine with regional Frankfurt specialties and, of course, we use seasonal and first-class products,” emphasizes Miguel Wagner. “We are very pleased when our guests start their cultural evening at Schönemann.”

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s plays are regularly performed in his birthplace, this season including Die Wahlverwandtschaften at Schauspiel Frankfurt. Those who don’t feel very hungry and just want to get in the mood for the theater evening with the right drink will find what they are looking for at Lili’s Bar: Eight different cocktails inspired by the works of the city’s most famous son and his liaison with the bar’s namesake, Lili Schönemann, are available here. The creations make reference to selected works of the poet prince and their protagonists, such as The Sorcerer’s Apprentice or Faust II.
